AUBURN — Jeannette B. Poussard, 80, of Auburn passed away Wednesday, June 6, peacefully in her home after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jeannette was born June 14, 1937, to parents Frank and Louise (Baril) Parise. She was educated in Lewiston schools and worked in the shoe industry for many years, until she retired in 1999.
She got to take care of her grandsons who were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and knitting.
Jeannette is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerard J. Poussard of Auburn; her son, David Poussard and wife, Jeanne, from Auburn; her daughter, Linda Poussard and partner, Brenda Farrar, from Auburn; her brothers Martin Parise and wife, Pat, from Florida, Jerry Howard and wife, Noella, of Westbrook; grandsons Jason, Scott and Marc Poussard, Ryan and Russell Allen; many nieces and nephews; and great-grandkids.
Jeannette was predeceased by her parents; and one sister, Rita Brousseau; and four brothers, Francis, Joseph, Albert, Alfred Parise.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice, especially Kayla and Alexandra, for taking good care of Mom in her final journey.
