LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and WGME unveiled a two-year “Make It Here” image campaign Thursday at the LA Metro Marketplace event.
A fast-paced video presented at the event showed off the food, the people and the work of Lewiston-Auburn. Videos will run on Channel 13 for the next two years.
“Whether you want to make it a home for your family or home for your business, you want to make it here,” Ethan Kane of WGME said in introducing it.
Chamber President Beckie Conrad said the community is on the right track, poised to be “the growth center of Maine.”
“As someone who has his business here — actually, I’m wearing some Rancourts (shoes) that were made right here — I’m really excited about this and I can’t wait to engage with the chamber on behalf of the city of Lewiston and make this work,” Lewiston Mayor Shane Bouchard said.
Auburn Mayor Jason Levesque echoed those remarks.
“Really, the only thing better than that video is actually being here and seeing it firsthand,” he said. “Growing up here, seeing all the great companies that are here, seeing all the opportunities that exist in Lewiston and Auburn. We have a strong future here in this community.”
