AUBURN — Douglas P. Gibbert, 65, of Leeds passed away peacefully at the hospice house in Auburn. He was born Aug. 27, 1952, in Lewiston.
He was the son of Henry and Ruth Gibbert. He graduated from Leavitt High school in 1970. He worked in construction industry as a iron worker most of his working years, and also for Hahnel Bros. Co. as a sheet metal worker. He enjoyed ham radio, hunting, going for rides on his ATV and tinkering on Gravley tractor’s and his Model A pickup truck, of which he was most proud.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Hartford Gibbert, of Leeds; his son, Jeremy Gibbert and his wife, Heather, of Leeds; his stepdaughter, Carin Chandler, and her husband, David, of Tennessee; Jolynn Hartford and fiance, Thomas St. Laurent, of Greene; stepson, Jason Hartford, of Leeds; grandsons Garret and Elijah of Greene; granddaughter, Kilee Gibbert of Leeds; brothers Lee and Curtis Gibbert. Predeceased by his parents.
