FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School District music department has announced upcoming spring concerts. The concerts feature music students participating in the local school bands, choruses and orchestras and are the culmination of the 2017-2018 academic school year.

The Cape Cod Hill School Concert will be presented at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, in the school gym. Featured will be the fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras under the direction of Nancy Beacham, the fifth-grade band under the direction of Karen Beacham and the fifth grade chorus under the direction of Lindsay Burke. Patricia Hayden will serve as concert accompanist.

The sixth-grade ensembles at Mt. Blue Middle School will present their concert at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, in the MBMS gym. The concert is open to the sixth-grade student body, family and friends. The sixth-grade band, chorus and orchestra will perform. They are directed by Scott Dunbar, Kenneth Labrecque and Steven Muise; assisted by Karen Beacham and Nancy Beacham. Krista Lyman will serve as concert accompanist.

The seventh- and eighth-grade ensembles at Mt. Blue Middle School will present their concert at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, also in the MBMS gym. The concert is open to the grades seven and eight student body, family and friends. The seventh- and eighth-grade band, chorus and orchestra will perform, directed by Karen Beacham, Lindsay Burke and Steven Muise. Patricia Hayden will serve as concert accompanist.

The Mt. Blue High School Spring Concert and Awards Night will be held on Thursday, May 31. The MBHS band, chorus and orchestra will be directed by Karen Beacham, Steven Muise and Adrian St. Pierre. Patricia Hayden will serve as concert accompanist. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus.

Academy Hill School students will perform at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in the school gym. Ensembles performing will be the fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras, the fifth-grade band and the fifth-grade chorus under the direction of Lindsay Burke, Krista Lyman and Steven Muise. Patricia Hayden will serve as concert accompanist.

Concluding the concert season will be Cascade Brook School’s fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras, fifth-grade band and fifth-grade chorus, under the direction of Nancy Beacham, Kenneth Labrecque and Adrian St. Pierre. They will perform at 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the CBS cafeteria. Patricia Hayden will serve as concert accompanist.

All Mt. Blue RSD concerts are free and open to the public.
