FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced the Pets of the Week.

Chubbs, a 4- to 6-year-old male, Lab mix, is a big, handsome boy with a sweet nature. He’s a strong guy, and he would love to find an energetic home that could take him along to all the fun things Maine offers. Chubbs does like to chase cats, so he’d be better in a home without them. He would like to do a meet-and-greet with the family dog to see if they could be friends.

Thing 1, a 6-month-old female cat is still at the shelter because she is a little shy. Her sister, Thing 2, has long been adopted. If someone could look past the shyness and give her a home to call her own, they would soon find she may be shy, but she is also very sweet.

Chubbs, Thing 1 and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also finds homes for barn cats, livestock and other pets.
