LEWISTON — Sedonia L. Pomerleau, 96, passed away Sunday, May 13, with her loving family by her side at D’Youville Pavilion following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 28, 1921, the daughter of Louis and Malvina (Gaudette) Berube.
One of five children, Sedonia loved doing crafts, knitting, puzzles and sewing. She was known for sewing all her children’s clothes. She enjoyed playing cards. She loved to laugh and play jokes on people. She was a family-oriented person and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She loved traveling with her sister-in-law Jeannette St. Pierre on trips far and near.
Survivors include her sons, Richard and wife Maggie Pomerleau of Manassas, VA, and Dennis and Denise Pomerleau of Chelsea; her daughters, Arlene and husband, Bert Levesque, of Lisbon, Connie Browning of Arnold, MD., and Diane and Steven Darnell Sr., of Minot; grandchildren Richard, Raymond and Amy Pomerleau of Virginia, Paula Dickinson of Kennebunk, Brian Levesque of Lisbon, Trisha and Steven Darnell Jr. of Minot, and Kasey Darnell of Portsmouth, NH, John Harper III of Savanah, GA, and Christy Ogle of FL; Tina Harlow of Sabattus, and Jonas and Jackie of Ft. Kent; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Sr.; her son, Raymond; her brothers Leo and Raymond Berube; and her sisters Violet Duquette and Annette Berube.
