Emily Burke of Lewiston presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with a special donation on April 26. Emily, a fifth-grade student at the Geiger Elementary School, started walking dogs in her neighborhood for a small fee. And instead of keeping the profits, she chose to donate them to the shelter. Her first donation of $23 will help with the care of the unwanted animals the society helps each year. The shelter is located at 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston.
