AUBURN — Day’s Jewelers of Auburn presented a $5,000 grant from Jewelers for Children to Camp Sunshine in Casco recently.
Camp Sunshine, established in 1984, is dedicated to helping children, along with their families, cope with serious illnesses.
Jewelers For Children, a nonprofit organization founded by the jewelry industry in 1999, is dedicated to helping children in need. More than 20,000 people across America were motivated to vote for their favorite local charity. Day’s Jewelers worked in conjunction with Camp Sunshine to encourage people to vote. When the final tallies were reported, Camp Sunshine earned a spot in the top 10, winning the $5,000 grant.
Day’s Jewelers of Auburn is committed to caring for the local community and sponsors fundraising efforts, schools, scouting, clubs and organizations, and also donates part of the proceeds from the sale of certain items to support special charitable initiatives.
