HADLEY, Mass. — For the second time this season, Bates College sophomore pitcher Kirsten Pelletier was named the NESCAC Pitcher of the Week.

Pelletier, of Sidney, tossed her second no-hitter of the season in a 10-0 win over Colby on Friday. She struck out 10 in that five-inning game.

The next day, she shut down the Mules again, going the distance for a complete-game shutout. That 1-0 victory was the Bobcats’ 20th of the season, the most in the program’s history.

For the week, Pelletier was 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 12 innings, with 18 strikeouts only only two hits allowed.

The Bobcats (20-13) travel to Amherst for the NESCAC tournament. They open the single-elimination tournament against the host Mammoths (26-5). The tournament runs through Sunday.
