Monmouth firefighters pour water on a mobile home fire on Mousse Way in Leeds on Monday. Monmouth Fire Chief Dan Roy said the home was fully involved when firefighters arrived on scene. The fire spread to the woods nearby and firefighters from Leeds stopped the fire from spreading further into the woods first thing as the home had already collapsed. The owner was not home when the fire started, said Leeds Assistant Fire Chief John Murphy. No one was injured. Roy said that his crew put out two brush fires over the weekend that were about two acres in size each. "Things are pretty dry right now," said Roy. (Daryn Slover/Sun Journal)
