This photo taken in 2017 shows a home on White Street in Lewiston that was serving as housing for Bates College students. Residents of the street said the neighborhood was once home to Bates College professors, doctors and professionals, but over the years a number of the large, older houses common to the street have been sold and turned into student residences.
