AUBURN — The second Totally Trades Conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Central Maine Community College. The main goal is to encourage female students to consider careers in the trades and STEM fields, traditionally dominated by men, through multi-faceted, hands-on experiences.

It also gives women the opportunity to try out tools and machinery they might not get the chance to use — sparking new aptitudes, confidence and beliefs.

The electronic registrations can be found at bit.ly/2H4hTZP, and they are due by the end of April.

Lunch will be provided at noon; the students will return to their schools on a bus leaving CMCC at 12:30 p.m.

An adult chaperone from each participating school will need to attend.
