AUBURN — Police on Thursday released still photos from surveillance video of a man suspected of robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts in New Auburn on Wednesday.
The suspect was described as a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and a cap, police said.
The suspect entered the store at 7 Riverside Drive shortly before 9 p.m. brandishing a handgun. He demanded money from the clerk. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.
One of the clerks told the Sun Journal she hit a panic alarm, then locked herself and another clerk in the back of the store until police arrived. The suspect apparently stole money from the tip jar on the counter before fleeing.
