Fire damaged the exterior early Saturday of the Mount Blue Motel on Wilton Road in Farmington, according to a fire official.

The fire was reported about 3:15 a.m., Farmington Fire Department Deputy Chief Tim Hardy said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the blaze does not appear to be suspicious, he said, adding there were no injuries.

The motel is owned by Rick Collins. A woman who answered the phone there Saturday declined to comment on the incident.

Hardy said he did not have an estimate of the cost of repairing the damage, but he said the motel is insured.
