Paint benefit for rehabilitation program
AUBURN — A paint night fundraiser to benefit An Angel’s Wing, an addiction rehabilitation program, will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at at the VFW Post 1303 Hall, 588 Minot Ave.
There will be snacks served, a cash bar and music. No experience is necessary, all supplies will be provided. The cost is $35, and the painting will be spring themed.
This event was originally scheduled for Jan. 13 and postponed due to weather.

Braille Monitor seeking members’ recipes
The Braille Monitor is asking Maine NFB members and family to gather recipes to be submitted to the Monitor. Recipes can be basic or fancy. Selections should be emailed to Leon Proctor Jr., president of NFB-ME, at leonproctorjr@yahoo.com.
Proctor does not have an exact date yet, but would like the recipes to be send soon.
Auburn Republicans to elect officers
AUBURN — The Auburn Republicans will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Auburn Hall.
Elections of officers and election of clerks will be held.
Food pantry seeks donations
AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned pasta, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.
Auburn United Methodist Church collects items for the pantry. Donations may be brought to 439 Park Ave.
