LEWISTON — Cecile P. Parent, 77, of Sabattus died Saturday, March 10, in the ICU at CMMC with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on May 15, 1940, the daughter of Antonio and Rose Coulombe Allard. She lived in Brunswick from 1943 to 1955. She was educated in Brunswick and Lewiston schools.
She married Leo Paul Parent on Feb. 7, 1959, at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston. Together they raised three lovely daughters. She worked as a CNA at St. Mary’s Hospital for 5 years. She also worked at Bell Manufacturing. Years later, she worked part time at Nadeau’s Bakery, which she enjoyed.
Her hobby of sewing and making quilts for her daughters, grandchildren, relatives, and friends brought enjoyment to all. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo Paul Parent; three daughters, Linda White and partner, Dan Rioux, of Sabattus, Pauline Turner and husband, Greg, of Sebastian, Fla., and Suzanne Duplissis and husband, Ron, of Auburn; six grandchildren, Jessica Francis and partner, Chris Cloutier, of Lisbon, Monica Rae Shaw of South Portland, Zachary Ouellette and wife, Jessica, of Lisbon, Eric Bilodeau of Houston, Texas, Christine Bilodeau of Tampa, Fla., and Kristi Turner Lawson of Jacksonville, Fla.; six great-grandchildren, Jared and Ava Francis and Kendall Cloutier, Benson Ouellette and Logan and Lilli Lawson; two sisters, Dorothy Chartier and husband, Richard, of Brunswick and Rose Marie Barton and husband, Bill, of Auburn; one brother, John Allard and partner, Lynn, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and a nephew, Gerard Parent.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU team at Central Maine Medical Center for their support in her final days.
