PORTLAND — Bernstein Shur announces that Sabattus native Chad Higgins has become a shareholder at the firm’s Portland office.

Higgins joins the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group where his practice will focus on a variety of litigation matters, including products liability, energy, higher education, and commercial and contract disputes.

He served as counsel at Goodwin Procter in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

He resides in Yarmouth with his family.
