NORWAY — Cottage Street Creative Exchange, local arts nonprofit, has a full spring ahead with many opportunities for public engagement.
Art Moves Dance Ensemble will have an informal showing of “Ancestors Dream” in process from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20. Feedback is welcome after the showing, which will take place in Art Moves Dance Studio, third floor, 13 Cottage St. It is free, but donations will be accepted.
Art Moves Dance Ensemble will perform in the annual FAB (Franco-American and Bates) concert Saturday, March 3, at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston, along with a dozen other dance companies from around Maine and New England.
They will perform an excerpt from “Ancestors Dream” and will be accompanied by Oen Kennedy on guitar. For more information, go to francocenter.org.
A free dance party will be held by and for the neighborhood on the second floor at 13 Cottage from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, and Friday, March 23.
A Globalocal Festival will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at The Ballroom, Main Street, Harrison, celebrating local artists and global influences.
Admission is $20 a person. Light fare, entertainment and dancing are included. Go to the Project side of artmovesdance.com and click on events to purchase, or dancers or directors have tickets. Art Moves Dance Ensemble is composed of Tegan Bullard, Erika Lindstrom, Karianna Merrill, Sasha Richardson, Deb Webster and Irons, artistic director.
