LEWISTON — The Union of Maine Visual Artists LA Chapter will host its third annual “For the Love of Art” show with five different themes at five downtown Lewiston venues from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. All venues are only a few blocks from each other and within five to eight blocks of popular restaurants.

Art will be on display for the entire month of February. Check each venue for hours outside of show time. This event is free and open to the public. Each venue will have refreshments, music, art, massage and flowers to stimulate all the senses

Start with Wicked Illustrations and park in their lot at 140 Canal St. where the theme is “The Language of Flowers.” Featured will be art from Melanie Therrien, Cory Tancrede, Kellie Chasse, Grayling Cunningham, Sheri Withers and Kate Cargile; barbecue sauce from 3 Spicy Boys; flowers from Blais; and chair massage from Pelletier’s Healing Hands.

Right around the corner at 291 Lisbon is The Studio, where the theme is “Kama Sutra” (adult content). Featured will be art by members of The Studio and guest artist; organic handmade lotions and lubricant by Muffins Apothecary; and Sensual Chocolates and Weirs by Sasha Lee.

A short walk away is The Hive Artisan Co-Op at 178 Lisbon St., where the theme is “Tainted Love” and the featured art is by Hive members; massage by Sarah Goodrich; and CBD Candies by Virgo Moon Botanicals.

Next is Kimball St. Studios at 191 Lisbon St, where the theme is “The Muse.” Featured will be art by Grayling Cunningham, Roderick Dew, Gloria Limoges, Gary Stallsworth and IIana Welch; confections by Petite Bites; and music by Linda Sherwood.

Right down the street is Quiet City Books, Art, Gifts and Heart at 97 Lisbon St., where the featured theme will be “Literary Lovers.”

Finish off the evening at 8 p.m. with L/A Arts Downstage, 221 Lisbon St., for L/A Arts Downstage Presents curated by Elijah True.
