RUMFORD — A unique dining experience, including intimate tableside magic, and an old style parlor magic show will be offered at a one-time seating on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 49 Franklin Reception Hall.

Tableside magic is an up-close and personal experience, where the feasibility of camera tricks, angles and lighting is virtually impossible to aid in the illusions. Romantic themes will frame the evening. Dancing to requested special love songs will be encouraged, and an optional portrait against a special Valentine backdrop will be available.

The appetizer course will include stuffed mushrooms, fried green beans and shrimp cocktail, along with local award-winning magician Scot Grassette and close-up magic specialist Mark Vaillancourt of Auburn, who will provide intimate magic effects.

The main courses will include a fresh garden salad, roasted local potatoes, glazed carrots and Italian green beans, served with savory tenderloin tips and oven baked chicken breast. A fresh baked raspberry-filled cookie with ice cream and chocolate drizzle will complete the meal. An old-style parlor magic show will include miracles that are too big for the table but too small for the big stage. The focus will be love-themed effects.

“Love is Magic!” Dinner and a show, is available for limited seating. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with appetizers starting at 5:30.
