FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced the Pets of the Week.

Lulabelle, a 6-plus-year female hound mix, may have gray on her muzzle, but she still has a lot of playfulness left. Lulabelle is still getting used to the snow and cold, but she’s a sweet lap dog who would love to give lots of affection while lazing the day away on a warm couch. She’d love to meet another dog, too!

Kovu, a 1- to 3-year-old male cat, is a very friendly and cuddly guy looking for his fur-ever home. Could it be yours?

Lulabelle, Kovu and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
