AUBURN — Dorothy Ann Fishman, 95, of Auburn, died on Friday, Dec. 15, in Auburn at the Hospice House.

She was born in Rutland, Vt., on May 26, 1922. She was the daughter of Lewis and Carrie Levin Sussman. She graduated from Rutland High School, Class of 1940. She served two and one half years as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy and she was discharged as a chief petty officer in 1946. She was a member of Temple Shalom, Hadassah, and the Women’s Hospital Association, having served on its board for many years. She volunteered at CMMC for 28 years, and volunteered at the Make a Wish Foundation. She also served as president of the Androscoggin Medical Auxiliary.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Deborah, and husband, Andrew Cohen, of Manchester, N.H.; two sons, Phillip and wife, Barbara, of Peachtree City, Ga., and Kenneth and wife, Catherine, of Grand Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Gabriel Cohen, Cara Veilleux, Anna, Sarah and Laura Fishman; and a great-grandaughter, Evelyn Cohen.

Besides her parents and husband, Dr. Louis Fishman, she was predeceased by her sister, Sara Fastow; and two brothers, Dr. Ralph Sussman and Joseph Sussman.
