LEWISTON — Local musicians, accordionist Lorraine Ouellette and guitarists Gerry Dube and Adrien Leclaire, will perform at the La Rencontre on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St. The gathering will start at 11:25 a.m.
The cost of the meal and the programs is $10 a person. The doors and the bar will open at 10 a.m. Guests may contact the center office for reservations at 783-1585. Email reservations may be sent to boxoffice@francocenter.org.
La Rencontre is not restricted to those speaking French or those of Franco descent. All are welcome as long as spots remain open. The meal will be a turkey dinner with all the fixings and pie.
After the meal, Maine Attorney General Janet Mills will address the group on ways to avoid telephone and internet fraud and scams. The day will conclude with a Christmas sing-along with the Lorraine Ouellette Trio in the Performance Hall, and several raffle prizes will be drawn.
The center is handicapped accessible and is located on the corner of Cedar and Oxford streets in the “Little Canada” section of Lewiston, across the bridge from New Auburn.
