LEWISTON — Central Maine Healthcare’s critical access hospitals in Bridgton and Rumford have been recognized by the Chartis Center for Rural Health/iVantage Health Analytics and the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health, reflecting top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the nation.
Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital received recognition for performance in outcomes and patient perspective, respectively.
“One of the best aspects of being a rural hospital is the connection we have with our communities and the ability to care for our friends, families and neighbors,” said David Frum, president of Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals.
The rankings are determined each year using iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index, an assessment designed in partnership with NOSORH.
