WEST PARIS — Rose M. Robbins, 78, of West Paris passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, at her home.

She was born in Freeman on June 12, 1939, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Thornton Paul. She attended Welchville and Oxford schools and married Gary Swett Robbins on May 1, 1957. She had been a homemaker all of her life, also working at Paris Manufacturing, Cornwall Wood Products, and as a C.N.A. at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed horses, gardening, reading and crocheting. She attended the First Congregational Church in South Paris.

Rose is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary Swett Robbins of West Paris; sons, Gary Paul Robbins and wife, Kristi, of West Paris and Bradley W. Adkins of Mechanic Falls; daughters, Teresa Brougher and husband, Karl, of Portland, Ore. and Cynthia Ann Robbins of West Paris; mother-in-law, Barbara Robbins of West Paris; sisters, Betty Berry of Florida, Elaine Paul of Spokane, Wash., Cynthia Paul of Oxford, Nancy Guimond of Florida and Cheryl Anderson of Westport Island; sister-in-law, Glenice Bean; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
