SABATTUS — Anita C. Bedard, 74, of 32 Deerfield Drive, Sabattus, died at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Born in Lewiston on July 29, 1943, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Gloria Simoneau Nadeau Jr. Educated in local schools, she married Robert N. Bedard on Nov. 10, 1962. Mr. Bedard passed away June 14, 2017. She worked for many years as a hand stitcher at several local shoe shops. Always very good with her hands, she was talented at making crafts, blankets and crocheting. A member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, she is survived by two sons, Ricky and wife, Alarice of Manchester and Normand of New Auburn; three brothers, Maurice Nadeau and wife, Claudette of Monmouth, Raymond and wife, Anita Nadeau of Wales and Gerald and wife, Linda Nadeau of Sabattus; five sisters, Theresa Bourgoin of Auburn, Claudette Vaillancourt of Lewiston, Lorraine Fournier of Lewiston, Jacqueline Demers of Auburn and Marianne and husband, Richard Bergeron of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Amanda Saunders, Nicholas Bedard and Brynna Bedard; and two great-grandchildren, Folken and Raydon Saunders. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Dennis; and three sisters, Sylvia Morin, Madeline Theriault and Doris Thibideau.
