1914 – 2003
FRYEBURG – Lilliette M. Beleckis, 88, formerly of Pumpkinville Road, Cornish, died Sunday, April 13, at the Fryeburg Health Care Center.
She was born in Auburn on May 31, 1914, a daughter of Adelard and Laura Ouellette Marois and attended Auburn schools. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1932. She married Walter J. Beleckis on Aug. 16, 1935. Her husband died in 1956.
She had been and continued to work for several years at the Clark Shoe Co. in Auburn. She worked for many years as a secretery for Marcotte Oil Co. in Lewiston. She then worked at Day’s Jewelry Store in Lewiston for several years until her retirement.
She then moved to the Kezar Falls / Cornish area to be near her family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Cornish. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing the piano and organ. Time spent with her family is what she loved most of all.
Surviving are a son, Arnold M. Beleckis and his wife Stella of Porter; two grandchilren, Celeste Emmons of Denmark and Walter Beleckis of Porter; three great-grandchildren, Joshua and Chelsea Emmons and Hunter Beleckis; a sister, Yvette Pomeroy of Lewiston.
