1919 – 2003

NORWAY – Esther F. Morrissette, 83, of Norway died Monday, April 14, at her home.

She was born in Norway on June 28, 1919, the daughter of Eugene and Ethel Abbott French. She graduated from Norway High School in 1936. She worked for the David A. Klain Agency for many years, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Norway Historical Society, Norway Center Church and Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Insurance Women of Androscoggin County. She married Robert Frost in 1938. She later married Leo Morrissette in 1981. She spent several winters in Apache Junction, Ariz.

She is survived by a son, Brad Frost and his wife Peggy of South Paris; two daughters, Roberta Atwood and her husband Richard of Benton and Carol Frost of N. Bridgton; a brother, George French and his wife Carol of Norway; two stepdaughters, Bonnie McAllister and her husband Loy of South Paris and Terri Brown and her husband Jim of Poland; two stepsons, Mitchell Morrissette and his wife Bonnie and Michael Morrissette and his wife Barbara all of Norway; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; numerous stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Frost and Leo Morrissette; and a daughter, Anita Gatlin.
