Chet Lunner, an award-winning journalist and retired senior intelligence executive for Homeland Security, spoke at Norway Memorial Library on June 15. He talked about journalism today and how to differentiate reliable sources from unreliable. He started his talk by saying, “There is no such thing as fake news” and explained that there are untruths and sloppy writing due unclear thinking. He suggested the audience read a variety of sources, stay current, subscribe responsibly, and remain vigilant. He concluded with questions and audience discussion.
