MEXICO — River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition will present guest speaker Christopher Poulos at a free community dinner and presentation March 21 in the Mountain Valley Middle School cafeteria and auditorium.
Poulos recently graduated from University of Maine School of Law and is in recovery from substance-use disorder. His journey has taken him from federal prison to the White House. He was recently named one of Maine’s Most Intriguing People of 2015 by Portland Magazine.
“Christopher is an example of everything that is possible for young adults with substance-use disorder through hard work, sustained recovery and higher education,” said Andrew Burki, founder and CEO of Life of Purpose.
The free community dinner will begin at 5:30 in the cafeteria and the presentation will follow at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. All are invited.
