RUMFORD — Dean R. Bedard, 52, of Essex Avenue, Rumford, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Rumford Hospital.
He was born in Rumford on Nov. 17, 1964, a son of Lawrence H. and Evelyn A. (Blanchard) Bedard.
Dean was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School, Class of 1983.
He was employed at Sunday River for many years holding various positions; and he was most recently employed with the Town of Mexico.
Dean was an avid “Gamer” and he loved playing golf with his boys, watching action and comedy movies, and listening to music.
Surviving are his parents, Lawrence H. and Evelyn A. Bedard; two sons, Adam D. Bedard of Liberty, and Riley A. Bedard of Rumford; a sister, Cathy A. Cameron and companion, Sarah Burgess, of Rumford; a brother, Michel L. Bedard and wife, Renea, of Morganton, N.C.; two nieces, Ashley Cameron of Rhode Island and Lauren Bedard of Morgantown, N.C.; and a nephew, Brett Bedard of Morganton, N.C.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Alice and Edmond Blanchard; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Bedard.
