FARMINGTON — The former SAD 9 became known as Mt. Blue Regional School District on July 1, when the state-mandated consolidation began operation.

The state will officially refer to the district as Regional School Unit No. 9, Superintendent Michael Cormier said.
The school system serves nine towns in the Farmington area and will be using materials already printed with MSAD 9 on them until they run out.
E-mail addresses will also be changed to the first initial of an employee’s name and the full last name followed by @mtbluersd.org. For example, mcormier@mtbluersd.org is Cormier’s new e-mail address. The old addresses will continue to work for a while, he said.
