Town officials recently agreed there is a need to see what ambulance service options Bradley may have.
At a town council meeting earlier this month, Town Manager Melissa Doane said she and Fire Chief Eric Gifford recently had met with Old Town city officials to discuss ambulance call costs; apparently, there is some concerns that revenues are not supporting the services Old Town provides to outlying communities.
No firm increases have yet been proposed by Old Town, but it appears likely the assessment for ambulance service will go up. Both Doane and Gifford agreed that having discussion with other communities and investigating other operations is needed.
One possibility already discussed has been reaching to Howland’s ambulance director. An ambulance program there has been developed there that generates a profit for the town.
