GREENVILLE — Greenville came back in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Buckfield 7-6 in a Class D South semifinal playoff game Saturday.
Down two in the inning, the Lakers recorded two singles before a Bianca Breton single knocked in the tying run. The bases were loaded after an intentional walk and Halle Pelletier’s single drove in the game-winning run.
The Bucks jumped out to a 4-1 lead after three-and-a-half innings before Greenville took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth. In the top of the sixth, the Bucks took a 6-5 lead.
Kali Litchfield had three hits including a double for Buckfield. Starting pitcher Abby Shields had a pair of hits while Cassidy Hart also had two hits.
Breton had three hits, including a double, and Halle Pelletier ripped a tripple to go along with her winning single.
Girls’ Lacrosse
Yarmouth 16, St. Dom’s 6
YARMOUTH — Yarmouth defeated St. Dom’s 16-6 in a Class B North semifinal contest Saturday.
Eva Then paced the Clippers (14-0) with four goals and an assist. Katie Waeldner had three points, including two goals. Yarmouth showed its scoring depth as Meredith Lane, Cory Lagenbach, Greta Elder and Molly Wilson each had a goal and assist.
Caroline Gastonguay paced the Saints (8-6) with with four goals and two assists. Emma Theriault and Avery Lutrzykowski had the other two goals in the losing effort.
