There have been millions of taxpayers’ dollars spent for debt service payments for past buildings and renovations. Administration salaries are more than $100,000, excluding benefits, and automatic retirement increases demanded by state law for school personnel.
All that for an area that the school’s superintendent labeled as being a lower socio-economic area.
Enough already. Residents should not stay home May 31. There are more residents who are against the proposed school budget than those who favor it if only people will get up out of their chairs.
Farmington taxpayers have been held captive too long by the bloated school budget. All it takes is for the farmers, retirees, modest homeowners, etc., to say they will not take it any longer.
The vote is Wednesday, May 31.
