LEWISTON – On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will hold a brown bag discussion on how to use economic development to fuel small businesses. Paul Badeau, marketing director of the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, will facilitate the discussion.
The Twin Cities have several economic development organizations, including Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, Coastal Enterprises, and the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments. People may learn what economic development professionals suggest to effectively grow and maintain a business. In addition, Badeau will discuss the services offered by each organization, including technical assistance, commercial financing, real estate site searches, grants and marketing.
Since Badeau’s hiring in 1998, he has implemented and overseen several projects including the five-year branding campaign for the Twin Cities called “L-A: It’s Happening Here!”
The discussion will be held at the Chamber, 179 Lisbon St., from noon to 1:15 p.m.
No registration fee is required. Members are asked to bring their own lunch and to reserve their place by calling the Chamber at 783-2249.
