Crafting group changes meeting location

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Sewing and Craft Group meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church off Route 121. The group does not meet the third Wednesday of the month.

The club members put on the tea kettle and and meet to work on individual and group projects and share ideas, skills, books and patterns. Members work on projects including knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting, fabric painting, card-making from scraps, sewing table runners, making Christmas crafts and Zentangle.

Elks’ New Year’s Eve dance

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Elks Lodge No. 2430 will host a New Year’s Eve dance at with Matt and the Barnburners providing entertainment.

The dance will be held from 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, to 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, at the Lodge.

Pizza, munchies and a great time will be provided. Safe rides home will be available for a small donation.

Tickets are required and cost $15 per person.

Snowshoe New Year’s Eve dance

RUMFORD — The Snowshoe Club will host a New Year’s Eve dance from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Dec. 31, Waldo Street.

Music will be provided by Leroy and the Jam Band. Snacks will be served during the evening.

Cost of the event is $5. Tickets are on sale at the club’s bar.
