1942 – 2016

SOUTH PARIS — Eugene W. Everett, 74, died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Maine Veterans’ Home with his daughter, Kathy Everett, by his side.

He was born in South Paris on June 3, 1942, the son of Walter and Glenda Welch Everett. Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was a well respected carpenter in the Oxford Hills area for many years until he retired 20 years ago due to Multiple Sclerosis. He kept busy during these years, fishing with his longtime friends, Peter Allen and Keith Cook and his cousin, Ralph Everett. He also spent many hours keeping his lawn freshly mowed, which brought him great joy. He spent many hours at his second home Market Square Restaurant. Gene was a member of Hosanna Christian Church and had an unwavering faith in Christ.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Everett of South Paris; grandsons, Dillon Emery of Buckfield and Joshua Emery of Sumner; a sister- in-law, Monika Everett of Colorado Springs, Colo.
