FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week. 

Cappy, a 5-year-old springer spaniel, is the Dog of the week. Cappy is an affectionate dog who is good with people, children and other dogs, enjoys playing with toys and is polite on the leash. 

Munchkin, the Cat of the Week, is a sweet 4- to 6-year-old cat. She is looking for a fur-ever lap to cuddle in.

Cappy, Munchkin and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays, at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims.
