While serving on the Lewiston School Committee, Jim Handy saw firsthand how his neighbors in Lewiston paid huge amounts of taxes, yet did not receive their fair share from the state of Maine.
He took the lead and worked with state legislators to fight for funding, rather than see it go to Portland or other districts.
Lewiston needs a state representative who will fight for its fair share of state funding for education. Handy will continue to work hard to make that happen.
Lewiston residents of District 58 should cast their vote for Jim Handy. He is an intelligent, energetic and dedicated person who was born and raised in Lewiston. He will commit his time and energy to improving infrastructure, education and economic opportunity in the Lewiston community.
As he has said, “People first. Lewiston first.”
