“The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.” I had searched for a quote to describe Dick Pickett. I feel those words characterize him, running for re-election to the Legislature.

Those words all fit Pickett, but there are a few I could add — humor, courage, commitment and tenacity. People who live in the region he represents have surely run into him as he has made it his goal, during his first campaign and the current one, to visit every home in his district.

He listens to the concerns of his constituents and shares his ideas and ideals.

His lifework was that of a police officer. He has lived to serve and now, in his retirement, that quest continues. There is not another candidate in whom I have more faith to represent me with the highest of principles.
