1942 – 2016
MONMOUTH — Theron (Ted) Austin White, 74, of Monmouth, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 20, at his home surrounded by family.
Ted was born in Gardiner on Feb. 21, 1942, the third child of the late Leroy Francis White and Florence (Trenholm) White. He was educated in Gardiner area schools, where he completed his schooling in grade eight and started to work to help support his family.
Ted was a very hard worker all of his life. Ted was employed at Commonwealth Shoe for 22 years, Dumont Industries for 18 years and finished his career with Northeast Painting and Coating where he worked 16 years.
Being an avid outdoorsman, Ted loved to hunt, fish, camp and tell stories of such. He was a member and trustee of the South Monmouth Baptist Church and he loved the Lord Jesus, his Savior, with all of his heart and soul. Ted loved his family very much. He would help anyone in need.
Ted is survived by his wife, Elaine of Monmouth; son, Norman White of Winthrop; son, Leon White and wife, Tina, of Turner; and his canine buddy, Spotty; grandchildren, Lewis, Kristie, LJ, Julia, Taylor, Gavin and Abraham; and many sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa, in 1969.
Many thanks to the Androscoggin Hospice House for their care and support.
