GRAY — The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a flash flood warning for the following areas: Central Sagadahoc County, Southern Oxford County; Androscoggin County; York County; and Cumberland County until 1:45 a.m.

According to the NWS website: “At 10:38 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing Heavy Rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash Flooding is expected to begin shortly.” 

Areas that may experience flooding include: Portland, Lewiston, South Portland, Biddeford, Brunswick. Westbrook, Kittery, Bath, Bridgton, Fryeburg. Mechanic Falls, Alfred, Turner, Naples, Sanford, Topsham. Cumberland, Saco and Gorham. 

“Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area,” according to the website.
