The Golden Trojans finished up their regular-season home slate with a blowout win over South Portland, scoring 60-plus points for the first time since week two. Now comes a road clash at Bonny Eagle.
2. Bonny Eagle (7-0) (2)
The Scots put up 58 points on Sanford last week, and now enter a week-eight battle-of-the-unbeatens with Thornton Academy having played consecutive games against above .500 teams.
3. Portland (6-1) (3)
The Bulldogs finish up their season with the annual Portland-South Portland rivalry game. It should be about as competitive as most of Portland’s games this year, which is to say not competitive.
4. Brunswick (7-0) (4)
All that’s standing in the way of Brunswick completing an undefeated regular season is 0-7 Nokomis. If Class B North’s best can’t stop the Dragons, how are the Warriors going to do it?
5. Kennebunk (7-0) (6)
The Rams demand respect. Talk of a soft schedule is out the window now after they knocked Biddeford from the unbeatens to claim sole possession of first place in Class B South.
6. Biddeford (6-1) (5)
The Tigers lost a close one on the road at Kennebunk for their first loss. Now they go back on the road at desperate Leavitt to finish the regular season.
7. Wells (7-0) (7)
All the pushovers are out of the way for the Warriors, who now host undefeated Cape Elizabeth. Wells hasn’t allowed a point the past two weeks, and has allowed multiple scores just once this season.
8. Cape Elizabeth (7-0) (8)
The Capers romped past the reigning Class C South champion, Yarmouth, 56-0 last week. Now comes a battle with Wells that could help determine this year’s regional title winner.
9. Brewer (6-1) (10)
The Witches got back on track with a close win over Messalonskee to grab hold of the No. 2 spot in Class B North ahead of their season finale against 2-5 Hampden Academy.
10. Scarborough (5-2) (NR)
The Red Storm doubled up Cheverus last week, and now finish up the regular season at Deering. Scarborough has already clinched the No. 3 seed in Class A South.
