LEWISTON — Mary Kozicki LaFontaine, regional director of the Southern CareerCenters, will be guest speaker at the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club on Thursday, Nov. 3.

The meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center on Pleasant Street.

LaFontaine, of Auburn, has 26 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Prior to her current position, she managed the Lewiston CareerCenter.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Master of Adult Education degree from the University of Southern Maine.

She also teaches at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, is vice chairperson of the Central Maine Human Resources Association, and chairwoman of the College for ME-Androscoggin board of directors.

She is a member of the New Mainers Community Collaboration, and the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce board of directors, through which she co-chairs the Workforce Development and Education Committee.

She recently served as an Auburn city councilor for two terms and served one term on the Auburn School Committee. She has also recently served on the Auburn Public Library board of trustees.

She and her husband, Richard, have four adult children and nine grandchildren.
