I have known Tina Riley for over a decade and have always been impressed with her family values and intelligence.
Having been a small-business owner, a master electrician and a mill worker, she understands the needs of businesses. She has supported science, technology, engineering and math programs that are critical to the success of many students and local businesses.
As a volunteer mentor for the Spruce Mountain robotics programs, she has been a tireless advocate, providing technical support and leadership, and teaching students to utilize technology as a tool in fundraising initiatives. She was a lead organizer of a regional robotics competition at Spruce Mountain High School last fall that provided STEM opportunities to hundreds of students.
Her experience will allow her to bring an understanding of the needs of students, schools and the local economy to Augusta.
I will be supporting Tina Riley on Nov. 8.
