BRUNSWICK — Lewiston earned a big victory in girls’ soccer action Tuesday, beating Brunswick 1-0.
Hannah Chaput scored the game’s only goal when she converted a breakaway pass from Dacia Ball with 21:38 remaining in the second half.
The win improves the Blue Devils to 3-2-1, while Brunswick falls to 4-2.
The Dragons outshot the Devils 11-6. Lewiston goalkeepers Kallie May (five) and Taylor Chamberlain (six) combined to make 11 saves. Beth Labbe had five saves for Brunswick.
Waynflete 2, St. Dom’s 1
AUBURN — Amelia Bartaska netted a pair of goals in the second half to give Waynflete a 2-1 victory over St. Dom’s in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Abbie Zanoni converted a pass from Mia Leslie to put the Saints (1-5) on the board.
Ali Pope made two saves for Waynflete (3-2), while Abby Castonguay turned aside 22 shots for St. Dom’s.
Spruce Mountain 2, Gardiner 1
JAY — Alana Cole converted a crossing pass from Hanna St. Pierre midway through the second half to give Spruce Mountain a 2-1 girls’ soccer win over Gardiner on Tuesday.
St. Pierre gave the Phoenix a 1-0 advantage when she scored on a direct kick. Lauren Chadwick found the net for Gardiner to tie the contest.
Calley Baker made 11 saves for Spruce Mountain, while Tabytha Hembree turned aside seven shots between the posts for Gardiner.
Gray-New Gloucester 1, Freeport 0
GRAY — Emma Woods found the net in the first half Tuesday to give Gray-New Gloucester a 1-0 girls’ soccer victory over Freeport.
Chelsea Davis needed only three saves for the Patriots (4-2) to preserve the shutout, while Jordan Randall deflected seven shots for Freeort (3-2).
Gray-New Gloucester outshot its opponents 12-4.
Morse 3, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Miranda Gagne scored a pair of goals and assisted on the third as Morse earned a 3-0 girls’ soccer victory over Leavitt on Tuesday.
Emily Martin also tallied for the Shipbuilders to complete the scoring.
Marissa Park made six saves for Morse, while Shelby Varney turned aside 10 shots for Leavitt.
Edward Little 4, Lawrence 1
AUBURN — Olivia Jensen scored a goal and assisted Grace Beaudet’s game-winner as Edward Little coasted to a 4-1 victory over Lawrence in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
Piper Norcross scored an insurance goal late in the game for the Red Eddies (4-1-1) to go along with her assist on Jensen’s tally.
Kiana Letourneau netted an unassisted goal for the Bulldogs (1-4-1).
Goalie Morgan Boudreau made 12 saves for Lawrence, while goalie Taylor Depot prevented six to earn the win in net for Edward Little.
York 8, Poland 0
POLAND — Strikers Morgan Smith and Maddie Amidon booted two goals each as York blanked Poland 8-0 in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Wildcats notched four goals in each half.
Goalie Anna Baker had three saves for York, while Poland goalie Madison Simard fended off 18 shots.
Richmond 4, Buckfield 0
RICHMOND — Caitlin Kendrick recorded a pair of goals as Richmond sailed to a 4-0 victory over Buckfield in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
Meranda Martin netted the first goal of the game for the Tigers (6-0).
Hannah Shields played well on offense for the Bucks (3-2).
Goalie Kaylee Harvey made 23 saves for Buckfield, while goalie Sydney Tilton repelled two to earn the win in net for Richmond.

Telstar 2, Mountain Valley 1, OT
BETHEL — Tristin Lilly converted a crossing pass from Zack Stone in overtime to give Telstar a 2-1 boys’ soccer victory over Mountain Valley in overtime Tuesday.
Avery Griffin gave the Rebels a 1-0 lead before Alex Saure came back just 17 seconds later to tie it up. In a game loaded with offense, Telstar outshot the Falcons 27-21.
Boston Ludden made 14 saves for Telstar, while Jacob Beauchesne turned aside 13 shots between the posts for Mountain Valley.
Lewiston 4, Brunswick 0
LEWISTON — Ben Musese, Bilal Hersi and Maulid Abdow each scored a goal and had an assist as Lewiston jettisoned Brunswick 4-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
The Blue Devils (6-0) controlled the ball extremely well and took away the Dragons’ (2-2-2) good chances.
Goalies Carlyle Boyle and Max Gramins combined for 15 saves for Brunswick, while goalie Dalton Wing stopped two shots to earn the win in net for Lewiston.
Edward Little 6, Lawrence 1
FAIRFIELD — Senior striker Jarod Norcross-Plourde scored a pair of goals as Edward Little grabbed a 6-1 win over Lawrence in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Eddies (4-2) engaged in a surge in the second half, scoring four goals in the span of two minutes. Edward Little netted five goals in the stanza.
Goalie Owen Mower made five saves to earn the win in net for Edward Little.

Edward Little 2, Mt. Ararat 1
AUBURN — First-half goals by Oceanna Chamberlain and Liz Bellman were enough for Edward Little to notch a 2-1 field hockey victory over Mt. Ararat on Tuesday.
Chamberlain and Bellman both scored off rebounds to set up the Red Eddies with a 2-0 lead.
Mt. Ararat’s Magan Thomas-Copland scored on a breakaway with five minutes left in the opening half to cut Edward Little’s lead in half. Neither team managed a goal in the second half.
The Eddies (5-2-1) played two goalkeepers: Delaney Morneau had one save in the first half and Emmy Lashua made five in the second half. Haley Frizzle stopped 13 shots for the Eagles (2-6).
Freeport 1, Gray-New Gloucester 0
GRAY — Kerry Lefebvre found the net for Freeport as they hustled to a 1-0 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in field hockey action Tuesday.
Megan Seymour needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Alicia Credit turned aside 12 shots for the Patriots.
Lawrence 3, Leavitt 1
TURNER — Maci Laroche netted a pair of goals Tuesday to lead Lawrence to a 3-1 field hockey win over Leavitt.
Lexi Laverdiere also tallied for the Bulldogs (5-2) , while Mackenzie Treadwell scored for the Hornets (5-2).
Marion Zowistowski made nine saves for Lawrence, while Hailey DeMascio turned aside 10 shots for Leavitt.
Mt. Blue 12, Lewiston 1
FARMINGTON — Adelle Foss scored five goals to propel Mt. Blue to a 12-1 field hockey rout over Lewiston in a lopsided KVAC tilt Tuesday.
Hannah Minns chipped in two goals for the Cougars (7-0-1), while single tallies from Samantha Ellis, Brook Bonnevie, Kylie Fontaine, Madison Bard and Ellie Pelletier completed the scoring. Jazzy Dumass scored the Blue Devils’ (1-7) lone goal.
Erica McArthur made four saves for Mt. Blue, while Ashley Cronkhite deflected 21 shots for Lewiston.
Spruce Mountain 2, Nokomis 1
JAY — Senior forward Alex Bessey scored the game-winner in the second half as Spruce Mountain edged Nokomis 2-1 in field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.
The Phoenix (5-2) scored first with a goal from freshman Emily Castonguay, her first career tally.
The Warriors (4-3) pressed hard in the second half, but the Spruce Mountain defense stepped up to allow just one goal. Emily Pratt netted the lone goal for Nokomis.
Goalie Chelsea Crockett made eight saves for Nokomis, while goalie Sydney Shaffer turned back 11 to earn the win in net for Spruce Mountain.
St. Dom’s 4, Wells 1
WELLS — Sophomore forward Paige Cote and junior forward Hannah Trottier-Braun struck for two goals each as St. Dom’s took a 4-1 victory over Wells in WMC field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.
The Saints (4-2-1) led 2-0 at the half. St. Dom’s outhot Wells by a margin of 22-1.
Forward Delaney O’Brien spoiled the shutout with a tally in the second half for the Warriors (1-5-1).
Goalie Alex Chase made 22 saves for Wells, while goalie Abby Slonina turned away just one to earn the win in net for St. Dom’s.
