LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The wedding of Amanda-Justine Powers and Alfonza Dominic Brooks was held on Aug. 13 at the Lucky Little Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mrs. Brooks is the daughter of Albert and Deena Powers of Lewiston. Mr. Brooks is the son of Darlene Brooks  of Lewiston and Hubert Brooks of Chesapeake, Virginia.

The bride wore a long sleeve, mini-sequin pixie dress and carried a hand-made bouquet of pink and red flowers.

Ariel Powers, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Attendants were Kira Tremblay and Alex Powers. Serving as best man was Ronald Turner, friend of the bridegroom.

A reception is planned in Maine in the fall. The couple is residing in Auburn.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in 2014. She is a nursing student at Maine College of Health Professions and is working as a CNA-med tech at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in early child development and human relations in 2014. He is working for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Lewiston.
