I have read the Sun Journal for 70 years and the Rumford Falls Times for 65 years. I have relied on those newspapers for the news of Rumford.

The best news reporter of Rumford during my years of reading has been Terry Karkos. He reported meetings in full, never with a spin supporting this or that side. He was a writer of integrity who presented citizens with a full report of all political meetings. He did not specialize in the art of omission which pleases politicians.

I very much miss Karkos’ reporting of Rumford news.

I thank him sincerely for upholding the integrity of the news for citizens in America.
