Season outlook: Mooney, a 2004 graduate of Mountain Valley, moves up to head coach after being defensive coordinator the past two years. His goal is for his team to control the clock on offense and stop the run on defense. The Falcons think they can compete with anybody in Class C South, as long as they can avoid any devastating injuries. Mooney, a relatively young coach, wants to bring an “old school” approach to discipline and game preparation.
